And We're Here To Help You Fight
Rock Steady Boxing is a form of non-contact boxing training for people with Parkinson's Disease. Each session is designed to focus on addressing certain symptoms of Parkinson's Disease, such as balance, tremors, impaired gait, as well as addressing some of the non-motor cognitive symptoms that can come along with the disease. Each boxer is assessed before training starts, and goals are set by the coaches and the boxer so that every person can have their individual needs met through our program.
Recent studies have suggested that through certain "forced" exercises, a neuro-protective effect can take place -- actually slowing down the disease progression. All sessions will be approximately 80 minutes long.
